Air

‘Air’, from my itunes album ‘Wheels’, has a light-hearted lyric – based on the invisible nature of air…..and of flying through the air around the world to wonderful places.

It’s loaded with fun sounds and spoken voices about places around the world, and has some great rock playing from my band. Notice the ending – with the big harmony vocals…..a nod to the Beatles.

Lyrics

Fill a balloon with air, pop it with a pin, and where is the air
No matter how you stare, you’ll never see the air
Is it there

When I say the word, think of being free
Places in the world, that you can go and see
Ah, if we had wings, we could fly on air
Where would you go, tell me where

On air – I lost me kilt in Glasgow………………..tell me where
On air – Might go on down to Kansas City…….tell me where
On air – Tokyo, ho-ho-ho-ho………………………tell me where
On air – I’m going to New Delhi………………….tell me where
On air – ya-ya-ya-ya

Look at the birds up there, and how they float anywhere, on the air
So….fill a balloon with air, ride it to the sky, if you dare, on the air

When I say the word, think of being free
Places in the world, that you can go and see
Ah, if we had wings, we could fly on air
Where would you go, tell me where

On air – Yah, take the boat to Stockholm ……tell me where
On air – Huh-huh-huh, yeah, Liverpool……….tell me where
On air – Le bouquet de Paris…………………….tell me where
On air – Arriba-arriba, Tijauna…………………..tell me where
On air – ya-ya-ya-ya

Ah…………..
